After two successful years, Diana: Her Fashion Story has closed to make way for a new Queen Victoria exhibition to mark the 200th anniversary of her birth at Kensington Palace. However, a celebration of the royal's style legacy lives on at Princess Diana's former home with the opening of a small new display featuring one of her evening gowns and a selection of sketches.

For the first time, eight sketches by British fashion designer David Sassoon, a favourite with Diana, will be on show at the Palace. Each one gives a nod to a memorable outfit worn by the princess, including a bright yellow dress she chose for an official tour of Australia in 1983 and a red velvet maternity dress which was created for Diana for an event at the Barbican two months before she gave birth to Prince William.
