Let's talk about the Hawaiian poke, a trend that comes directly from the American West Coast.

Poke is born, precisely, as a poor dish of Hawaiian cuisine: a bowl of raw fish, often diced shredded and flavoured with sea salt, spices and seaweed.

Its spread began in 2012, especially in California, where it became a sort of "healthy fast food". Poke has been revisited with some elements of Japanese cuisine (rice, soy sauce) but also with trendy ingredients such as avocado, mango, cashew.

The poke bowl is also popular because, in addition to being a low-calorie dish, it offers the opportunity to indulge in fantasy. Everyone can create their Poke bowl as they wishes. Protein (raw fish, chicken or tofu), vegetables and fruit to taste and preferred sauces are added to a base of rice, quinoa, cereals or salad. The combinations are almost endless!

Therefore a potentially healthy food, fun to compose and that with its colours is also a pleasure for the view (and highly "instag"). Without a shadow of a doubt, the poke is a must if you want be on the wave of trendy food.
